Management Course has its own flavour and demand in the market. Among the varieties of Management courses, MBA stands in topmost list of demanding course in the market. Candidates after passing out  from colleges, from any streams or branches, go for opting MBA management courses. Every year there is a certain Common Entrance Exam held for the selection of Candidates for B-school of Management, whose marks are entertained by the colleges all over India and they are more or less Computer based Exam and also PG level. They are CAT, MAT, CMAT,  NMAT, IIFT, ATMA, XAT, SNAP, GMAT and GRE.1. CAT: CAT or Common Aptitude Test, which is consider to be the toughest as well as popular of all MBA Entrance Exam. CAT is one of the most reputed National Entrance Examination conducted by Indian Institute of Management. For admission in any IIM taking CAT exam is mandatory. Every year Indian Institute of Management conduct the Common Admission Test for the candidates seeking admission in 20+ Indian Institute of Management and more than 100 Government and private MBA institutes in India. CAT score validity is for 1 year. Every IIMs has their own cut-offs and they release accordingly still approx. IIMs and other top B-schools have cutoff ranging from 90 percentile or above. On the other hand, other B-schools belonging to tier II to IV can range from 80 to 50 percentile. Every year at around 1-1.2 lakh appear for the exam and around 20-30 thousands candidates,actually gets selected.This makes it toughest among the candidates who are appearing for it.2. MAT: MAT or Management Aptitude Test, is a National-level Management Entrance Examination. The marks are used for admission to various MBA, PGDM MMS and other Management programmes. The exam is conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA). More than 600 B-Schools accept MAT exam scores. MAT is held four times in a year: February, May, September and December. MAT score validity is for 1 year. As by the reports cut-off marks  goes around 500 to 700. Every year around 3 lakhs candidate appear for MAT and only 1 lakh gets selected. 3. CMAT: CMAT OR Common Management Admission Test, is a National-level Management Entrance Test and it's held once in a year on the month of January. The test is conducted by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). This exam helps the institutions to select eligible graduates for all Management Programs. CMAT is the only MBA/PGDM exam conducted by AICTE and no other entrance exam is conducted under alliance of AICTE. CMAT’s cutoff for the top Business Schools varies from 290 to 200. Every year, the number of registrations crossed 1 lakh, but the test was taken by 88,942 candidates only. CMAT score validity is for 1 year.There are some Entrance Exams, apart from the above mentioned exams for MBA which are conducted by the Institution itself, whose marks gets accepted by other Institution for MBA Admission and the level of examination is Postgraduate. They are NMAT, IIFT, ATMA, XAT and SNAP.4. NMAT: NMAT or Narsee Monjee Management Test, is conducted by Graduate Management Admission Council. NMAT is a National-level MBA entrance exam for admission to Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) and other than that other Management Colleges such as Alliance University, SRM University, BML Munjal University, VIT University, ICFAI Business School (IBS) and Ansal University. NMAT’s cutoffs goes around 207-209 for the last 2–3years. Approx. 8 thousand candidates appear for NMAT and the top institutes had around 500 seats, which make the test harder for candidates to crack.   NMAT’s score validity is for 1 year.5. IIFT: IIFT or Indian Institute of Foreign Trade exam, is a national level written entrance test for MBA (International Business) programme at IIFT. IIFT is a leading B-school of India and is famous for Management courses in International Business Management and Strategy. IIFT conducts a separate entrance test to select candidates. IIFT’s cut offs goes around 38-45 every year. And approx.52000 candidates appear for this exam every year, for 350 seats in all top institutions. IIFT score validity is for 1 year.6. ATMA: ATMA or AIMS Test for Management Admission is a national-level Management Entrance Examination. It is conducted by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS). ATMA scores are used for admission to Management programmes offered by various Institutions across India.The exam is generally held four times in a year- February, May, June, July. In 2017, it was held five times (in August). ATMA ‘s cutoffs may varies approx.from 70-150, while the percentile can range from 90-97. ATMA exam is given by more or less by 2-3thousand candidates, for 20 seats available by the top institution. ATMA score validity is for 1 year.7. XAT : XAT or Xavier Aptitude Test is national-level Management Aptitude test. It is conducted by Xavier School of Management and Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur. XLRI conducts the exam on behalf of Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI). XAT scores are used by more than 800 institutes for admission to MBA, PGDM and other management courses. XAT’s cut offs varies from 85-90 every year. XAT exam is given by more or less by 1 lakh candidates for the seats of 180 in the topmost institutions.The exam is held once in a year and it’s score validity is for 1year.8. SNAP: SNAP or Symbiosis National Aptitude Test,is a National level Management Entrance Exam, conducted by Symbiosis International University (SIU) for admission in 15 Symbiosis institutes. The scores are valid for admission to other MBA or equivalent courses.SNAP Exam cutoffs goes around 85-90 almost every year. And the number of candidates appear for this exam is around  50000 to 60000 every year and the total intake is around 150 students. The exam is held once in a year and it’s score validity is for 1year.There are also certain exams apart from the above mentioned Entrance exams for MBA whose marks are accepted not only in India but also in Abroad. They are -GMAT and GRE.9. GMAT : GMAT or The Graduate Management Admission Test, is a Computer Adaptive Test (CAT) intended to form certain analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills in written English which is used in the admission for MBA. GMAT score is accepted by more than 5,400 Graduate Programs worldwide, in countries that include: India, USA, UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, South Africa and Thailand. GMAT exam cutoffs and the  number of seats, varies from country to country. Still top universities consider candidates score more than 550(approx.). GMAT score validity is for 5 years.
