How to Prepare for Logical Reasoning for CAT 2016?DILR section of CAT is a mixed bag of 32 questions, which has to be answered in 60 minutes. Time is opportunity when it comes to answering logical reasoning question. For a majority of candidates, the logical reasoning is the toughest section to crack. Usually, a paragraph is followed by 2 or 3 questions, you have to read the information and apply your logic for answering the questions. These problems are mostly ‘all-or-nothing’ type, meaning that you can either answer all the problems or none. Here are a few tips to come out with flying colors in the logical reasoning section.· Never assume any information not given in the question. Remember that these questions are not testing your subject knowledge in general. Consider ONLY the information given in the passage.·  Ensure to read all the choices properly before eliminating or choosing the correct option.· In questions, that ask the readers to conclude, choose a conclusion that immediately follows the information provided in the question.· Pay special attention to words such as ‘all’, ‘some’, ‘none’ or ‘few’ when you read the passage. These words play a critical role in answering the questions as many times such words are given to mislead the readers.· Also, pay attention to negative words such as ‘non’, ‘un’ and ‘dis’ as it further affects the reading as it can alter some of the basic information. To start with, solve the previous year papers to understand the logic behind some of the problems.Hope you succeed in cracking the LR section of CAT 2016. demo
